Lime Application
Thanks largely to high humidity and excessive amounts of rainfall and snow, the soil found around Buffalo and Western New York is typically acidic. Adding lime to your lawn helps "sweeten" the soil, allowing for better nutrient exchange and, therefore, a healthier lawn. If you see excessive moss growth or thinning areas in your lawn, an application of lime might be needed to help neutralize the soil. Lime applications are usually scheduled in the fall.
