Our comprehensive program comprises five applications, each featuring a well-balanced liquid fertilizer, targeted weed control, and pre-emergent crabgrass management. Our product analysis adapts daily to account for weather patterns, environmental factors, and prevalent lawn concerns in the WNY region, ensuring tailored service for your property. Additionally, we provide an Organic program designed to enhance lawn density and promote vibrant greenery.

5 LAWN APPLICATIONS:

Early Spring: We make our first visit as soon as the weather warms up. We will apply pre-emergent crabgrass and broadleaf control as well as a balanced fertilizer to give your grass a boost as it comes out of dormancy.

Spring: As spring progresses we will make another trip out to spray for weeds and apply more fertilizer to keep your grass thick and strong. On this trip, we will also check for grubs or other pests that might be damaging your lawn.

Early Summer: When summer starts we will apply another balanced fertilizer to keep your grass green and prepare it for summer. Targeted spot spraying will be applied as well as grub applications if necessary.

Late Summer: Time to change up the fertilizer again to get your grass through the final weeks of summer and prepare for fall. More targeted weed treatment and pest inspection.

Early Fall: On our final visit, we will spray one last time for weeds and apply a final application of fertilizer designed to promote root growth and keep your grass greener through the cold months.

Grub and Cranefly Control

Grubs are immature beetles living under the soil. They feed on the roots of your grass causing brown patches in your yard. That’s not all, grubs are also a favorite snack for moles, skunks, and birds who will happily dig up your yard to get at these delicious pests. With our grub control program, we will eliminate the grub problem before it starts and continuously inspect your lawn to make sure they are gone for good. Cranefly larvae can cause similar damage as grubs so if you see a lot of brown patches in your yard don’t hesitate to call Seasonal Lawncare.

Lime Application

Due to the wet climate here in Buffalo and western New York, our soil is usually a little on the acidic side. If your soil becomes too acidic your grass will struggle. Moss and acid-loving weeds will start to crowd out your grass leaving your yard weak and vulnerable to pests and diseases. Lime applications can be scheduled throughout the year. Here are some answers to the questions we hear the most.

What should I expect after an application?

You will begin to notice some cupping and curling of the weeds within two to three days. It will take approximately four weeks for your weeds to disappear completely.

It rained 15-20 minutes after my application; is this OK?

All fertilizers will need to be watered. It’s also helpful to water after an application of insect control as this will water it into the thatch and root zone where insects like to call home. Pre-emergent crabgrass control works best when watered in. Liquid weed controls, once dried, should be fine. Once a liquid application is dry, the weed control has entered the weed and has already begun to take effect. Remember, our treatment programs are guaranteed to work so, if you should ever have a concern, please contact our office.

How long should I wait to mow my lawn after an application?

Waiting 24-48 hours before mowing will give you the best results.

Should I bag the clippings when I mow my lawn?

Returning clippings evenly to the lawn (no heavy clumping) returns valuable nutrients to the lawn.

How soon after an application can my children and/or pets enter the lawn?

It is recommended that people and pets stay off the lawn until the treatment is dry. Depending on weather could be as soon as an hour. NYS would prefer you limit your activity for 24 hours.

Are your products safe for my children and pets?

Seasonal Lawncare’s products are safer than many household cleaners, offering a cost-effective alternative to DIY methods. Once dry, pets can safely resume normal activities, providing peace of mind.

Do I have to be at home when you come to do a treatment?

No. The technician will leave an invoice along with any important information and/or instructions regarding your treatment, such as watering, mowing, observations and concerns.

When is payment due?

Payment is due upon receipt of the treatment and invoice (unless you prepaid at the beginning of the season). You have 30 days to pay to avoid scheduling delays. After 30 days a minimum late charge of $12 will be added to your account.

Do you guarantee your services?

Absolutely! Our treatment programs come with guaranteed results. If you ever have a concern, a Seasonal Lawncare manager is available to address the concern at no charge – typically 24 to 48 hours after receiving the call.

Can I seed after a treatment?

With a fertilizer or insect treatment, seeding can be done immediately. Pre- and post-emergent weed treatments will restrict seeding for 3 to 12 weeks, according to label instructions.

Does Seasonal offer an organic program?

Yes, we do! Our organic program has the same timing as our non-organic program. We use the highest-quality organic-based fertilizer (please note that organic fertilizers do not kill weeds). Organic applications are applied in liquid and granular form at the same price as our non-organic programs. Please contact us for more information.
